Share the joy of reading with others!
Bookcrossing is a mobile, virtual library, without its own premises and library cards. The action consists in leaving books on special bookcrossing shelves or in any public place (park, train, pub, theater, cafe, gallery, cinema, library). Books are left for potential readers. The goal is to popularize reading, enabling books to reach as many readers as possible without the formalities of traditional book lending. How do you join the action? You can do it in three ways:
- Register on the bookcrossing website (new window) and follow the instructions there,
- Bring your books to the CUT Library and leave them on the bookcrossing shelves – we will register them for you (we will enter a BIP number),
- Take any books to read from our bookcrossing shelves or other places where you can find books with the BIP number, then register on the bookcrossing website (new window) and follow the instructions on this page.
The online registration process allows you to follow the path of your chosen book and share your opinions about it. Of course, this "bureaucracy" is voluntary, it is not mandatory. A book can always be released unofficially, but then we can not know its fate, the path it has traveled.
Bookcrossing is also participation in the international reading movement and the pleasure of making new contacts with readers registered in the bookcrossing service (new window). ENJOY READING!
