IBUK Libra in the International E-Book Week
IBUK Libra (new window) - it's access to dozens and even hundreds of e-books from anywhere on Earth, for free! The IBUK Libra is also an advanced tool for working with text, adding notes and creating citations for a semester or thesis work.
In the first week of March, we are once again celebrating the International E-Book Week. CUT Library provides a resource of e-books that you can read without time and geographical restrictions, without the need to download applications. All you need is a device that supports HTML5. New functions are available such as citing and creating so-called projects from the MyIBUK shelf level, to which you add read books. To quote the Author, all you have to do is mark the section of interest (max. 160 characters). A window will appear like in the picture below:
Then click "white triangle" on the menu that appeared next to the book, in it select "Quote". The selected fragment will appear in the new window along with the completed footnote. If you write a thesis and additionally you need a bibliographic description, just click on the "Bibliography" window. Additionally, you can choose one of the bibliographic standards with a full ISBN of cited item.
You can move the quote and footnote using Ctrl + C or the "Copy" option to any text editor. The "Project" function is an easy way to create a group of books that you will use in your work. How to do it? After entering the MyIBUK, just click on the upper right corner, where the "Projects" button is located.
A table of projects will open over the bookshelf – first click on the "+" symbol in the upper left corner and enter the name of the project, e.g. Diploma thesis. <<MTEK-projekt02-tytul.png>> After confirmation, a new workbook will appear with the number "0" . This means that you don't have any publications in the new project yet. To add them, move the covers of all necessary books to the workbook with the mouse.
In this way you will create a group of books necessary for your work. It speeds up work at IBUK Libra (new window), without the need to search for the necessary titles in the MyIBUK shelf each time.
