Omówiono przebieg powstawania deformacji płaszcza zbiornika, ich przemieszczanie się, zmianę formy lub powstawanie nowych w okresie od wytworzenia się pierwszej deformacji aż do momentu, gdy zostanie usunięta przyczyna powstania podciśnienia w zbiorniku lub do czasu, gdy pęknie jego płaszcz i nastąpi wyrównanie wartości ciśnienia wewnątrz zbiornika z ciśnieniem atmosferycznym. Przebieg analizowanego stanu deformacji płaszcza zbiornika trudny jest do obserwowania w praktyce dlatego posłużono się symulacją komputerową.

In the paper the development of the tank shell deformations has been discussed, including their concerned progressive movements, change of forms, and the creation of new deformations. That behaviour has been investigated beginning from the appearance of the first deformation up to the time when the cause of the tank underpressure vanishes, or when the tank shell cracks and the inner and outer pressures become equal. In practice, the sequence of the analysed deformation states is very difficult to observe. Therefore, a proper computer simulation has been applied.
