Praca dotyczy ogrodu zimowego – elementu umożliwiającego pasywne korzystanie z energii słonecznej. Przeprowadzono w nim analizę energetyczną nieogrzewanego ogrodu zimowego, a także zwrócono uwagę na przebiegi temperatur w pomieszczeniu z nim sąsiadującym. Instrumentem do tej analizy był niekomercyjny program numeryczny do symulacji stanów termicznych budynku i hydraulicznych instalacji grzewczej. Przy jego pomocy porównano zużycie energii cieplnej dwóch domów jednorodzinnych, różniących się tym, iż tylko jeden z nich posiadał przybudowany do fasady południowej tzw. zimny (nieogrzewany) ogród zimowy. Zbadano także wpływ kilku wariantów geometrii ogrodu zimowego na możliwość redukcji zużycia ciepła i przebiegi temperatur w nim oraz przyległym do niego pomieszczeniu.

The paper describes the opportunity of passive solar energy use in winter gardens. Not only does it contain the energy analysis of an unheated winter garden, but it also describes the thermal comfort of the room as well as the adjacent room. The tool used for the analysis is a noncommercial numerical program that conducts simulations of the dynamic and hydraulic system behaviors of the building. With its help two one-family houses of the same design have been compared, the only difference between them being that one has had a winter garden at the southern facade. It has also been examined how different geometric properties of the winter garden affect the possibility of reducing heat consumption and the temperature course in the adjacent room.
