CUT Library work organisation from 1 September, 2020.

In accordance with the Ordinance No 80 of the Rector of the CUT of 13 August, regarding the rules of functioning of the Cracow University of Technology in the period from 1 June to 30 September, 2020, we would like to inform you, that currently the services of the CUT Library are limited.

Rules that apply to users during their stay in CUT Library (including Faculty of Mechanical Engineering Library BWM).

Borrowing and returning books (separate window for book loans and separate for book returns):

Library overdue charges

Books should be ordered remotely, through the library system.

Preparing to leave the CUT university
Each CUT student after graduation or discontinuation of study will need to clean up the contents of his/her library account (you will need to stamp the Student Leaving Form (LEAVER’S CHECKLIST) - "Karta Odejścia"). Student Leaving Forms are stamped in Lending desks according to standard procedures or via the Dean's Offices.

In order to settle matters with the Library, you should:

  1. return all borrowed items and settle any charges,
  2. submit a request for regulation of library account matters:
    1.  at the Lending desk when returning books,
    2.  via e-mail (wypozyczalnia.bpk@pk.edu.pl, wypozyczalnia.bwm@pk.edu.pl)
    3.  by phone - Lending desk, Warszawska St. 12 628 29 63 (8.30-14.00), Lending desk - BWM 12 628 36-51 (8.30-14.00).

Other rules regarding library accounts and book returns:

  • Library accounts that expired between 12 March and 29 September, 2020 have been extended to 30 September, 2020.
  • The deadlines for returning borrowed books will be extended until 30 September, 2020.
  • For the period when it was not possible to return the books (i.e. from 12 March), the fees for the overdue items will be reduced accordingly.

All questions related to renewals, the book returns and the student leaving form (leaver’s checklist) should be directed to:

Interlibrary loan orders should be submitted through the electronic form in the library system.

In matters requiring a personal visit to the Information Services Dept. (e.g. delivery and receipt of publications for verification in connection with registration in the CUT Academics Bibliography database) please make an appointment by phone. In matters regarding the CUT Academics Bibliography database (BPP) please contact us by email: bibliografia@biblos.pk.edu.pl.
Publications will be accepted from Monday to Friday between 8.30-14.00. During the renovation of the Library Pavilion, the Information Services Dept. employees are available in the Main Reading Room.

Other CUT Library units are not available for external users.

Readers interested in standards are asked to contact the Library Lending Rooms; a special procedure has been prepared for those interested in standards.

Access to journals - CUT employees and students are asked to contact the Serials and E-Resources Department (czasopisma-bpk@pk.edu.pl) in order to obtain scans of selected articles from journals available on the Campus at Warszawska Street. Access to electronic resources and services remains unchanged. Information for doctoral students before defending their doctoral dissertation – the procedure for accepting documents and works remains unchanged, except that documents addressed to the CUT Library should be submitted to the University Chancellery. Receipt of signed documents in the "window next to the entrance". Any questions in this matter should be directed to: agnieszka.gorska@pk.edu.pl.
