Rules - CUT users
Only CUT Library users with a valid library account can use the Interlibrary Loan Service.
The purpose of the Interlibrary Loan is to obtain loans of books, copies of articles and also fragments of the works from Polish and foreign libraries.
Some materials are not available for the Interlibrary Loan, including:
- reference collection
- all volumes and issues of journals
- audiovisual materials
- rare and precious books
- special collections eg. standards, patents, maps
- doctors' theses (depends on library)

It is important to check the CUT Library catalogue first to make sure that the items are not held at the CUT Library collection.

The length of loan is determined by the lending library but is usually 1-4 weeks. Any extension you can make only with the consent of the lending library.
You will be informed of the due date when you are notified that your item has arrived via phone call or an e-mail.
The renewals of books should be requested only once. If a renewal is needed, the CUT Interlibrary Loan staff should be notified AT LEAST FOUR DAYS BEFORE THE DUE DATE for contact the lending library for permission to renew. Without this permission, all materials should be returned to the CUT Lending Room.
All returnable materials should be returned to the Lending Room on time. The copies of articles are the property of readers and do not need to be returned.
User is allowed to read all the ILL materials ONLY at the Main Reading Room.
