- POL-on – Integrated System of Information on Science and Higher Education (new window) – administered by the National Information Processing Institute – National Research Institute (new window) system of information about scientific units, universities, Polish science, scientific publications, etc.;
- Polish Science (new window) – National Information Processing Institute database; information about research conducted in Poland, people of science, scientific institutions, organized fairs, exhibitions and conferences;
- Open Science Platform (new window) /in Polish/ created at the Interdisciplinary Center for Mathematical and Computational Modelling includes the following:
- Virtual Library of Science (WBN) (new window) /in Polish/ – a programme to purchase and make available global knowledge resources in the form of electronic journals, books and databases for Polish academic and scientific institutions. The programme is subsidized by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education and implemented mostly by the Interdisciplinary Center for Mathematical and Computational Modelling;
- Project database of National Science Centre (NCN) (new window) – basic information about NCN-funded projects, both completed and in progress. For a given project, you can also see other projects, e.g., in progress at a scientific unit, headed by a given person, from the same competition, or with similar keywords;
- Science in Poland (new window) – service of the Polish Press Agency devoted to, among other things, popularization of Polish science, achievements of Polish scientists and universities, also information on internships, scientific scholarships, events, competitions for researchers;
- AcademicKeys (new window) – information about universities, departments, scientific events (symposiums, conferences), research interests of scientists in various fields;
- WorldWideScience.org (new window) – international science portal, free access to information sites, databases, scientific research portals.
Social networks
- Infona (new window) – access to publications and educational materials, exchange of knowledge and opinions, accounts for institutions or individuals;
- Academia.edu (new window) – an international service for academia, allows published texts or just drafts to be shared and critiqued by community members; free at a basic level, advanced tools paid for;
- BibSonomy (new window) – helps you manage publications, collaborate with scientists, and find new interesting research materials;
- LinkedIn (new window) – an international platform that facilitates professional networking, allows you to share your publications and interact, gives you the opportunity to create an individual or institutional (e.g. university) profile;
- ResearchGate (new window) – international social network for scientists; free at basic level, advanced tools paid for;
- Scientix (new window) – an international platform for sharing information about projects, events, publications, research in science teaching. Includes a directory of public profiles, moderated forums, chat - tools to facilitate information;
- X (new window) – a social network that aims to create a global space for conversation, provides the opportunity to set up an individual profile or an institution / journal / company. Increasingly used as a tool in scientific communication.
