Wskazano na zalety prefabrykacji konstrukcji stalowych. Omówiono czynniki określające możliwość prefabrykacji: typ i rodzaj konstrukcji stalowej nadającej się do prefabrykacji, ograniczenia w możliwościach przewozu prefabrykatów transportem lądowym i wodnym, wymagania stawiane halom przemysłowym, w których wykonuje się prefabrykację i próbny montaż prefabrykatów. Zwrócono uwagę na niezbędność wykonania projektu warsztatowego bardziej złożonych budowlanych konstrukcji stalowych.

In the paper the advantages of the steel structure prefabrication are pointed. The following factors which define feasibility of prefabrication are discussed:
- the types of the steel structure which can be prefabricated,
- restrictions in the steel prefabricates shipment by the land and water means of transport,
- requirements towards workshop halls, where steel structure prefabrication and trial assembly are executed.
The need of the workshop project preparation for complex steel structures is mentioned as well.
