W artykule przedstawiono opis adaptacji istniejącego mieszkania, znajdującego się w budynku wielorodzinnym, wybudowanym w roku 2005, do standardów inteligentnego budynku. Głównym założeniem inwestycji była jak najmniejsza ingerencja w istniejące już systemy i instalacje. Ponadto przy wyborze technologii i urządzeń do systemu inteligentnego domu starano się maksymalnie wykorzystać posiadany przez użytkowników mieszkania sprzęt elektroniczny (smartfony, tablety). Dodatkowo nabywając czujniki i urządzenia sterujące wybierano te, które posiadają wsparcie i możliwość instalacji wolnego (alternatywnego) oprogramowania, dostępnego w internecie, rozszerzającego funkcjonalność poszczególnych urządzeń.

The article presents a description of the adaptation of an existing apartment, located in a multi-family building, built in 2005, to the standards of an intelligent building. The main assumption of the investment was the smallest interference in existing systems and installations. Moreover, when choosing the technology and equipment for the smart home system, the users tried to maximize the use of electronic equipment (smartphones, tablets) owned by the users. Additionally, by purchasing sensors and control devices, those that have support and the possibility of installing free (alternative) software available on the Internet, extending the functionality of individual devices, were chosen.
