Release of the Cracoviana Collection from the resources of the Cracow University of Technology Library

Project objective: To disseminate information in online catalogues about the unique resources in the CUT Library's book collection and to make available in the CUT Repository, in an open, unrestricted manner, the full texts of selected publications from the Cracoviana collection.

The Cracoviana Collection includes some 1,400 volumes, published in Cracow before 1945 and relating to Cracow and its immediate region. The oldest document in the collection dates back to 1745, and the chronological range of the remaining documents is 1816-1945. Cracoviana in the resources of the CUT Library is a valuable collection in terms of history. It is an invaluable source of knowledge about the artistic and cultural heritage of the city of Cracow and its immediate surroundings from the 19th and the first half of the 20th century. The collection includes publications related to the functioning of the city, its history, economic and social policy, as well as touching on the daily life and customs of its residents.

The project is co-financed from the state budget under the programme of the Ministry of Education and Science called "Social Responsibility of Science" – module: Support for scientific libraries; Agreement SONB/SP/547882/2022; funding amount 247,760.00 PLN.
