Funding programmes for scientific publications affiliated to the CUT

Publishing an article in the Open Access model may involve an additional fee, known as the Article Processing Charge (APC), which is charged to the author by the academic publisher. The costs of article publication may be covered by the university, funded through a grant/project, or subsidized under various agreements and programs. Authors who publish in the Open Access model retain copyright, including the right to distribute their work under Creative Commons licenses. The final electronic version of the published article is made available by the publisher and can also be archived and shared in repositories of the institution to which the publication is affiliated or which funds Open Access. In programs with a limited number of articles, the qualification is usually determined by the manuscript acceptance date.

Employees of Cracow University of Technology (PK) can submit articles under Open Access publishing programs, where the publication cost is covered by a transformative agreement with the publisher. Additionally, PK employees have access to platforms offering reduced publication fees for Open Access articles.
