Prof. dr hab. inż. Błażej Skoczeń

Dyrektor Instytutu Mechaniki Stosowanej na Wydziale Mechanicznym Politechniki Krakowskiej, członek Komitetu Mechaniki PAN oraz Sekcji Mechaniki Materiałów w KM PAN, pracownik naukowy Europejskiej Organizacji Badań Jądrowych CERN (1998-2005), kierownik Sekcji Połączeń Magnesów Nadprzewodzących LHC w CERN (2000-2005). Pełni także funkcję koordynatora ds. współpracy PK z Międzynarodowym Centrum Mechaniki CISM w Udine. Od 2013 r. członek Komitetu Ewaluacji Jednostek Naukowych (KEJN). Odbył staże w renomowanych ośrodkach naukowych m.in. na Politechnice Wiedeńskiej, w Toyohashi University of Technology w Japonii, w CERN w Genewie. Prof. Skoczeń jest autorem ok. 200 publikacji, raportów i opracowań naukowych, w tym indywidualnej monografii naukowej wydanej nakładem wydawnictwa Springer-Verlag oraz 12 wdrożonych rozwiązań konstrukcyjnych i technologicznych w zakresie akceleratorów cząstek elementarnych.

Kate Robinson

Kate Robinson is University Librarian at the University of Bath, UK. Originally a Theology graduate from the University of Manchester and with a Masters in Library & Information Studies, she has worked in libraries since the 1980s; contributing to a range of sectors within the profession including public libraries, private members’ libraries and the advertising industry. Kate’s professional interests are user focussed and she particularly enjoys collaborative projects which harness technology to extend the boundaries of what’s possible for library users and what’s beneficial for the wider organisation. Kate is a Fellow of both the Royal Society of Arts and CILIP (the Chartered Institute of Library & Information Professionals) and Chair of CILIP’s Professional Registration and Accreditation Board.

Gemma Hersh

As Policy Director at Elsevier, Gemma Hersh is responsible for developing and refreshing policies in areas related to open access, open data, text mining and others. Gemma also frequently travels around the world to meet with government, institutions, funders and others to build, strengthen and maintain relationships and to discuss areas of mutual interest. In the UK Gemma sits as publisher representative on the UUK OA Monitoring Group. Before joining Elsevier, Gemma was Head of Public Affairs for the UK Publishers Association and has worked in the creative industries both in government and in industry for the last seven years. She holds an MPhil in Politics and Comparative Government from Oxford University, but her real love is History, in which she holds a First Class Degree from Kings College, London.

Iva Buresova

In 2008, Ms. Buresova completed a master's degree at the Institute of Information and Library Studies at the Faculty of Arts, Charles University, Prague Her thesis was “BioMed Central Publishing and freely available online journals (including journals of Czech origin).” Since 2005 she has been working at the Library of the ASCR, v.v.i. in the Department of Electronic Information Resources, which is responsible for managing electronic information resources and providing information services. Her main area of research interest is Open Access to scientific information. To this field she has directed most of her publications and lectures over the past years. Ktoś z Polski.

Prof. Karol Życzkowski

Professor of Physics interested in classical and quantum chaos, nonlinear dynamics, quantum mechanics, quantum information processing, random matrices and applied mathematics. Co-author of a monograph Geometry of Quantum States published by Cambridge University Press in 2006 and a paper on quantum entanglement cited more than one thousand times. Author of more than 175 papers which enjoyed a considerable interest of the scientifc community (h index ≥ 34). Co-author of the “Jagiellonian Compromise” - a voting system for the Council of the European Union (2004). Recipient of a NCN grant Maestro, member of panel PE-2 evaluating ERC Advanced Grants (2008-12). Since 2014 member of Academia Europea. Hobbies: Sports (ski-alpinism, fencing, canoeing, sailing), travels, languages, history and politics. Beskidy mountain guide and ski instructor. Author of a skiing guide to Polish High Tatra (2004).

Barbara Szczepańska

Library and Information Services Manager at Hogan-Lovells, Warsaw. Copyright & Information Society Consultant, a proffessional with 18 years of experience within different types of libraries, 14 years career track in law offices, 13 years on managerial position. Since 2011 EIFL IP local coordinator, member of the EBLIDA-EGIL Expert Group on Information Law (2005-2011), member ot the IFLA Copyright and other Legal Matters Committee (2004-2009), EBIB editor and board secretary (1999-2009), librarian at the Court of Justice of the European Union, Luxembourg (2005-2006).

Marzena Marcinek

Marzena Marcinek, MSc, Chartered Librarian, Head of Information Services at the Library of Cracow University of Technology, editor of the EBIB – e-service for librarians and information professionals, member of the EBIB Association and Polish Librarians Association, academic teacher, Elsevier freelance trainer. Author and translator of around 100 professional publications focused on information science, particularly interested in information literacy, bibliometrics and OA, participated with papers in many national and international  LIS conferences.

Dorota Lipińska

Absolwentka Bibliotekoznawstwa i Informacji Naukowej Uniwersytetu Jagiellońskiego. Zastępca kierownika Oddziału Informatyzacji Biblioteki PK. Od 2006 roku zajmuje się  tworzeniem Biblioteki Cyfrowej Politechniki Krakowskiej oraz administracją Repozytorium Politechniki Krakowskiej. W latach 2009-2012 udział w pracach zespołu ds. merytorycznych projektu „SUW Zintegrowany System Wymiany Wiedzy i Udostępniania Akademickich Publikacji z Zakresu Nauk Technicznych”, realizowanego w ramach Programu Operacyjnego Innowacyjna Gospodarka. W latach 2010-2015 w projekcie Politechnika XXI wieku; udział w Działaniu 7 „Rozwój e-learningu”. Redaktor Biuletynu EBIB – fachowego czasopisma Open Access dla bibliotekarzy.

Ondřej Fabián

Ondřej Fabián graduated from Information Science – Librarianship at Charles University in Prague. His entire career is related with the Library of Tomas Bata University in Zlín, where he has been acting as the Head Librarian since 2009. Before that, he mainly focused on managing electronic resources and participated in the implementation of a number of advanced tools and technologies into library services. His professional focus is on the area of science and research support, electronic resources and the issue of Open Access. He has published several scientific articles on these topics. In addition, he gives lectures at several TBU faculties. He was involved as an investigator in several major projects, namely a project supported by the OP VaVpI named „STMFull: full text databases for research and development“ which provided a nationwide access to the ProQuest STM Package database.

Ivan Masár

Ivan Masár implements and maintains IT services, including DSpace repositories, Shibboleth, Summon and Xerxes-based discovery service, for users at Tomas Bata University. By contributing to Xerxes and DSpace, he's also become a committer in these projects, i.e., he is able to modify their source code and has a say in development planning.

As Market development manager sharing platforms, Letitia drives the development and adoption of ScienceDirect services that support Institutional Repositories and sharing platforms to improve their user experience, while increasing discoverability and usage of ScienceDirect articles. Letitia gained broad commercial experience at LexisNexis. She has been responsible for Sales, Business Development and Marketing News and Business information solutions in Europe, Middle East and Africa. In Amsterdam, she headed up the strategy, sales, marketing and product management team and was responsible for the relationship with external publishers. She was seconded to South Africa and set up a business unit for News and Business information solutions in South Africa and Africa. Letitia holds a Masters’ degree in Economic Geography and in Strategic Marketing Management.

Lucie Boudova

Lucie Boudova works as a consultant and marketing manager for Eastern Europe at Elsevier. She graduated from Information Science and Librarianship at Charles University in Prague, where she also finished her PhD thesis from the field of bibliometrics. Until 2014, she led there a course of Introduction to information sciences, she’s also giving lectures about bibliometrics upon request at other universities, conferences etc. Her active interest in bibliometrics brought her after studies to the Technology Centre of Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic where she worked as an analyst and manager of research evaluation. Before becoming a consultant at Elsevier, she collected experiences also as an Elsevier trainer. During her career, she authored and co-authored multiple articles, analysis, book and contributed to policy documents. She’s born and lives in the Czech Republic.

Dr hab. Artur Jazdon

Doktorat z nauk filologicznych w zakresie bibliotekoznawstwa i informacji naukowej - Uniwersytet Wrocławski 1989 r., uprawnienia bibliotekarza dyplomowanego - 1988 r., habilitacja z nauk humanistycznych w zakresie bibliologia i informatologia - Uniwersytet Śląski 2013 r. Pracownik Biblioteki Uniwersyteckiej od 1979 r., początkowo na etacie naukowo - badawczym, do 1982 r. jako starszy bibliotekarz, następnie kustosz w służbie bibliotecznej. Od roku 1984 r. wicedyrektor, od 1992 r. dyrektor Biblioteki Uniwersyteckiej. Staże w bibliotekach krajowych i zagranicznych (m.in. Warszawa, Kraków, Brno, Berlin, Bayreuth, Leeds, Ryga). Realizacja zajęć dydaktycznych w Instytucie Bibliotekoznawstwa i Informacji naukowej UAM, później w Instytucie Filologii Polskiej UAM, w Wyższej Szkole Umiejętności Społecznych (od 2001 roku). Autor 4 książek i ponad 130 artykułów z zakresów: historii ruchu wydawniczego, drukarstwa i księgarstwa, organizacji i zarządzania bibliotek, polityki kadrowej w bibliotekach, finansowania nauki i bibliotek, komputeryzacji bibliotek i procesów bibliotecznych. Redaktor naczelny rocznika „Biblioteka”.

Małgorzata Rychlik

Małgorzata Rychlik jest absolwentką bibliotekoznawstwa i informacji naukowej na Uniwersytecie Warszawskiem. Obecnie pracuje na stanowisku starszego kustosza dyplomowanego w Oddziale Informacji i Transferu Wiedzy Biblioteki Uniwersyteckiej w Poznaniu. Przez szereg lat kierowała Biblioteką Instytutu Biologii Ssaków PAN w Białowieży. Przebywała na krótkich stażach w Learning and Research Resources Centre University of Barcelona, Göttingen State and University Library oraz National Library of Technology w Pradze. Jej zainteresowania naukowo-badawcze koncentrują się wokół zagadnień związanych z ruchem otwartej nauki, parametryzacją nauki oraz nowymi metrykami (altmetrics). Współtworzyła pierwsze w Polsce repozytorium instytucjonalne AMUR (Adam Mickiewicz University Repository). Jest autorką prac na temat otwartych repozytoriów oraz wskaźników altmetrycznych. Uczestniczy w zagranicznych i polskich konferencjach bibliotekoznawczych.

Renata Sławińska

Absolwentka pedagogiki Uniwersytetu Wrocławskiego (1985 r.), studiów podyplomowych z zakresu bibliotekoznawstwa i informacji naukowej na Uniwersytecie Wrocławskim (1994 r.) oraz podyplomowego studium systemów informacyjnych na Politechnice Wrocławskiej (1998 r.). Pracownik Biblioteki Głównej Uniwersytetu Medycznego (pop. Akademia Medyczna) we Wrocławiu od 1986 r., w latach 1997-1998 wicedyrektor, od 1999 r. pełni obowiązki dyrektora Biblioteki. Członek wielu komisji uczelnianych, pełnomocnik Rektora UMW do występowania we wszelkich sprawach związanych z projektowaniem i budową Centrum Naukowej Informacji Medycznej Uniwersytetu Medycznego we Wrocławiu, autorka publikacji z zakresu informacji naukowej, bibliometrii, dydaktyki bibliotecznej, redaktorka serwisu informacyjnego Biblioteki UMW, członek redakcji Forum Bibliotek Medycznych. Odpowiada m.in. za realizację zajęć dydaktycznych z zakresu informacji bibliotecznej i naukowej, bibliotekę cyfrową Uczelni, projekty związane z digitalizacją zasobów Biblioteki, komputerowym opracowaniem zbiorów i tworzeniem baz z zakresu historii dolnośląskiej medycyny.

Justyna Zawada

Absolwentka Wydziału Filologicznego Uniwersytetu Wrocławskiego. Od 2013 r. pracuje w Bibliotece Głównej Uniwersytetu Medycznego we Wrocławiu w Oddziale Informacji Naukowej i Bibliografii. Zajmuje się m.in. obsługą użytkowników Oddziału, bibliometrią oraz przygotowywaniem szkoleń i materiałów szkoleniowych z zakresu informacji naukowej. Od lutego 2016 r. koordynator projektu Mendeley Institutional Edition.

Katarzyna Gaca, PhD

A chemist and a graduate of Cracow University of Technology and the Chemical and Process Engineering Department at the University of Strathclyde in Scotland. Since 2013, an educator and a researcher at the Faculty of Chemical Engineering and Technology at Cracow University of Technology, specializing in organic aerogels and studying reaction kinetics using spectroscopic techniques. Since 2012, associated with Elsevier as a trainer. Conducts trainings on specialist databases and tools dedicated to librarians, students and scientists.
