"My, Your, Our - Library!"

The Library is a place that brings together the community both as a group and each individual person. The Library is like a friend with whom time is well spent. Everyone can find something interesting in it for themselves. It can be a scientific answer to some intricate question in any field or, conversely, an imaginative and non-obvious world contained in a book or game. The Library's offerings are diverse and tailored to many needs. That's why the Library can be called My, Your, Our and identify with it. We invite you to celebrate together!

[Polish Librarians’ Association]

The CUT Library joined, for the 17th time, in the celebration of the Week of Libraries from 8-15 May, 2023. On this occasion we prepared a programme addressed to all users of the Library:

- New issue of Bibliodniówka (new window), the magazine published on the occasion of the CUT Library Week,

- The virtual Unusual Book Covers exhibition (in Polish) (new window). Let’s get to know my treasures, yours and ours! The intention of creators of the event was to present what belongs to the entire community of the Cracow University of Technology and to invite to getting know the collections of the CUT Library through its bookbinding works. Books of particular value have been selected from the CUT Library collection due to their connection with the university through the author or publisher name, as well as 19th century works of bookbinding art and contemporary ones. All the books were selected because of their covers, which intrigued the selectors enough to: extract them from the library's storeroom, learn more about them and share them with public,

- Presentation of the oldest work in the CUT Library: the Monumenta Illustrium Per Italiam, Galliam, Germaniam, Hispanias, totum denique Terrarum Orbem eruditione praeciupe, & doctrina Virorum, figuris artificiosissimis expressa, nuncque primum fic nove edita (new window), published in 1585,

- Training on how to effectively and quickly find the best print and electronic resources in the rich offer of the CUT Library and where to find editable charts, graphs, tables or courses that will facilitate the preparation of final theses,

- The CUT Library knowledge contest throughout the Library Week on its facebook profile.
