Modern educational resources, presentations and workshops for the CUT employees, doctoral students and students

Information Services Department staff organize free presentations and workshops on request – tailored to the needs of those ordering the training. They can be held remotely via MS Teams platform or stationary – in the CUT Library or at faculties.

Suggested training topics include:

  • selected scientific and didactic electronic sources – selection according to the needs of individual departments (searching Polish and foreign databases, electronic journals, e-resources, scientific search engines, etc.).;
  • bibliography and footnotes without secrets – bibliographic description styles, bibliography management, bibliography managers;
  • bibliometric issues – sources of bibliometric information using Web of Science and Scopus databases as examples, bibliometric indicators, journal scoring, etc.;
  • all about citations – searching and analyzing citations (Web of Science, Scopus, Publish or Perish), tracking and correcting entries in bibliometric databases;
  • identity of researchers in the network – identification of authors (ORCID, Researcher ID, Author Profile in Scopus, profile in the CRIS PK and GoogleScholar), collaborative networks;
  • CUT Academics Bibliography database and CUT Repository;
  • CUT Library electronic resources – general information (resources and services available from the CUT LIbrary's website, journal databases and services, user account service, ordering materials from other libraries);
  • Mendeley – bibliography manager – create an account, collect literature, manage publications, collaborate in groups, automatically create bibliographies in scientific publications and change citation styles.
