Journal Checker Tool (nowe okno) allows you to check whether a journal is compliant with the Plan S, in particular whether its policy allows it to publish an article under a CC-BY license without a time embargo while maintaining copyright.
On the JCT website, enter the title or ISSN of the journal, the name of the research funding institution (in the case of the National Science Center, just enter NCN) and the institution where the author is employed (in the case of the CUT - Tadeusz Kościuszko University of Technology). The search results will show all possible ways to publish an article that are compatible with the Plan S.
The following are considered compatible:
- fully open journals;
- journals that have transformation agreements with the designated institution;
- transformational journals (which are in the process of transitioning entirely to Open Access);
- subscription journals that provide self-archiving options for authors in their publishing policies, or that are enabled by the Coalition of Rights Retention Strategy (RRS) (nowe okno).
